The Community Action & Advocacy Center helps to increase responsiveness and resolve problems that impact the quality of life for individuals, families, and neighborhoods throughout the city. Those in need of assistance can tap the resources of the Community Affairs team, who know how to maneuver through city government efficiently and effectively on your behalf.

Complaints of inadequate or lack of municipal services that are discovered through Community Outreach or reported to the Controller’s Fraud Hotline and WatchDog app are dealt with quickly – cutting red tape and getting answers on issues including illegal dumping in vacant lots, missed sanitation pickups or snow removal, unsafe construction site conditions, and more.
